Food Directions is proud to announce our three students bloggers! After a series of competitive applicants, Sabrina Kim, Megan Edison and Lea Kriesberg were chosen as Food Directions Student Bloggers for the fall of 2017. Our bloggers have already been featured in the FD Blog and will continue to be throughout the fall semester. Please check back regularly for student blog posts!
Sabrina Kim is a third year student at the University of Virginia double majoring in Biology and Global Security & Justice. In addition to her student blogger position at Food Directions, she also runs her own blog that focuses on nutrition policy, government affairs, and global nutrition (www.nutripol.org). She hopes to further her passion for these topics and earn her Masters or Ph.D. in nutritional biology or a related field.
Megan Edison is a junior nutrition major with a dietetic concentration at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She is interested in all things food; learning and writing about it, making it, and, most importantly, eating it! At school she is involved with the Student Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and FARM Club, standing for Food Accessibility and Resilience at Miami. She is so honored and excited to be a student blogger for Food Directions this semester and can’t wait to share more about many of the hot topics surrounding food and nutrition.
Lea Kriesberg is a third-year student at American University in Washington, D.C. Lea studies Public Health with a minor in Business Administration. Lea is passionate about nutrition, particularly food security and school nutrition. Lea is also interested in food marketing and the policies surrounding it. She also loves to cook for herself and others.
